The upcoming immersive theatre production centers around a powerful narrative inspired by Steve Parlato’s “They are not disposable” series. The story explores themes of racial injustice and societal brutality through the perspectives of young and adult Aiyana Jones, along with support stories involving a moral conflict within the minister’s community; and an educational figure’s role in addressing systemic issues.The central storyline features vignettes and sermons depicting the lives and tragedies of figures such as Tamir Rice, Elijah McClain, Breonna Taylor, and others. The production incorporates spoken word poetry, interpretive dance, live music, and multimedia elements, including news snippets and social commentary projected as backdrops.
